Storm clouds gathering ....

A stop start day. Began spreading slurry,but it got too thick. Had to go across to wee brothers to borrow back my water pump. then could only pump water out slowly, as not enough coming down the burn to keep the pump going.
By tonight it was getting thin enough again,but by then the tractor on the pump had boiled up. Will need to power wash the radiator out tomorrow and see if that helps.
The fencers eventually turned up to start re fencing where the trees were cut down. They have been busy for weeks on the Borders Railway. Asked them if they were going to the Grand Opening on Saturday-  the polite answer was no! Seemingly the Queen is going for a hurl on the train. Lucky her,a day trip to Galashiels(hope she bought a return ticket !)
The clouds were gathering tonight,and it's getting a bit chilly. Autumn is nearly here. Would be nice if the barley was ripe enough to cut. It will be all hell let loose when it is !
