Barrwood Rezzy
Or the Barrwood reservoir.... we used to drink this in the days before the authorities decided it would kill us.
Was up in Barrwood; the spiritual home of Forth Valley scouting. I spent many a weekend up there. You could say it was a misspent youth if the definition was drinking round a campfire talking endless amounts of pish about bands and football. We weren't the best of Scouts by the Scout Associations standards but we had a great time and would be classified as "mostly harmless". Our site was just a few yards behind where I was standing. It was great being there again.
On the proper Scouting side, the Beavers had a whale of a time at the group sausage sizzle. All were well fed including the several billion midges that came to feed. Were they there back in the day? or were they defeated by the incredibly smokey fires, the smell of unwashed teenagers and the cheap lager.
