GERFLINT, FIAP

I was at a conference today hosted by the Gerflint (Groupe d'études et de recherches pour le Français langue internationale). The journal I co-edit with two wonderful colleagues, Synergies Canada, is part of this network. We will have the meeting of the editors-in-chief from the over 30 journals in the network on Wednesday. The conference is being held at the FIAP Jean Monnet, a lovely modern building in the 14th. This is a panel that greets visitors as they come into the building. It corresponds well with the international GERFLINT network.

Th had a good first day working at the bookstore in the latin quarter for her stage. She was completely exhausted when she came home, after an 8-hour day on her feet. There are a few stagiaires working there this week and I think she is going to enjoy it. She got her report card in the mail today. It was excellent and included a perfect score in Chemistry!... We are very proud of her.

J and I went to see Ch's English drama show after school today. The kids were very cute and did an excellent job!

P, K and J are settling in well and finding their way around Paris. They enjoyed the aquarium at the Trocadéro this afternoon.
