Sunbathing in George Square

I left Stroud by train, in the rain, but by the Lake District the weather dial had changed to sunny. My sister Kate had reminded me to bring my wetsuit, as she said summer had arrived, at last.

Certainly that was the case in Glasgow today! I hauled myself over from Central Station to Queen Street around tea time. It was far too sunny to stay inside the terminal, so I hopped over to George Square to join the crowds sunbathing and squinting at mobile devices. I caught the train to Connel Ferry (where there hasn't been a ferry crossing since before I was born) and was met by my sister and two of her children, Natty and Jezzie. On arrival at the house. they cooked me fish and chips in gluten-free batter. Who could ask for more?

Kate said she'd been to the Tip on her day off (she's still trying to sort out our mother's house, which wasn't cleared before she left), but I am determined to have a holiday this time! Last holiday in Argyll, a mere month ago, was ALL about the cleaning!
