Fledglings

Today was the day when the young swallows (4 of them) departed from the nest and started to explore the world.  Off they went for short flights before returning to wait to be fed by their parents.  The flights will start to get longer and the parental feeding less frequent.

They didn't seem at all bothered at having their picture taken.  They must be used to the traffic beneath them.

In a few weeks, they'll be off to South Africa.  Amazing.
