Epic journey

Today was quite an epic journey - all the way to Tenerife with a 4 year old and 4 month old. Phewf.

They both did brilliantly getting to Gatwick - slept most of the way and then the valet parking man was very kind and helped us. C did well pushing R in her carrycot while I manoeuvred the full trolley.

On the flight C was well entertained with lots of different distractions and did well, R pretty much fed and slept the whole way.

We did have a huge amount of stuff with us and I had quite a few hot sweaty moments where I wondered who to help first but we made it and lots of lovely people helped us along the way.

This was the only photo I took all day while picnicking in Gatwick, not surprising really - there was no time or hands free for photography!

It was fab to see my Dad waiting at the airport to meet us. Hurrah, holiday time.
