Not quite sure what happened today but there seemed to be some sunshine which decided to warm the hearts and souls of this town. To say it has been dreich would be an understatement, to say it has been rather depressing would be more accurate. Insufficient sunlight does not a happy people make.

So tonight I was asked to assist our eldest with some more homework, oh no, the dreaded PowerPoint presentation. Come on, hands up who has never sat through a presentation which makes you wonder why technological progress can end in this.

'Let's deal with the content first' was my first bit of advice, the exciting corporate background can wait for another day. With no desire to inflict more pain on society than is really necessary, we shall try to keep it light, to the point, and with only 7 animations per slide, each one taking approximately 8 seconds to load.
