Too Fast!

Casually pruning the Buddleia this afternoon and got my first ever visit from a Hummingbird Hawkmoth! The nearest camera was the compact but I've a feeling with no tripod the motion blur would be pretty much the same with the Nikon. Blimey they're fast movers aren't they?! I've never seen one for real so I was rather over-excited at one being in my garden as you can imagine.

I almost blipped a grasshopper like critter but this, though awful photography, made my day! :) 

Stella was very underwhelmed by the whole thing and came indoors!
