Dull
14.3C and fairly dull. A few spots of rain through the afternoon. Light breeze.
Maeve the Deerhound was indoors this morning.
Maeve and I went for a walk after lunch. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore road. We crossed over and went down the little private road and over the level crossing on the far side of the burn. The farmer from Craigmill farm was in his tractor cutting some long grass in a little field on the beach side of the railway line for hay or silage.
I had my walking boots on today so it was easier to pick a way across the burn. Maeve just followed me. We walked along the beach to Westhaven. The beach wasn't looking its best. Lots of seaweed and stones. At Westhaven Valhalla A was moored out at the seaward end of the channel though the rocks and two smaller boats were lying on the sand and seaweed near the beach. Everything was quiet at the fishermen's huts.
We came back along East Row then crossed back by the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home. There were a few spots of rain as we neared home.
