Common Darter (I think)
We went to Stroud this morning and just about the last time. We will not be rejoining for the new season. We decided to go to Slimbridge WWT on the way home. It was pleasant but very busy. It was fun seeing the lego models that had been made. There were all sorts but my favourite was the dragonfly - this took nearly 3000 bricks - there was an otter, duck, swan, flamingo and crane. We wandered down to the dragonfly pool and this had been tidied up since our last visit and we actually saw dragon and damsel flies. The one in my blip is I think a common darter and he stayed a long time on this log enjoying the sunshine. We were just about to make our way back when we heart a clap of thunder and it went cold. We got back to the restaurant just in time so we had a coffee and waited for the rain to pass.
When we got home it was all dry.
