a lifetime burning

September is here again

Tiny Tuesday: Spider's web in the misty dew

A colder night than recently meant a dew soaked misty start to the day, with the low watery sunrise nicely minting the morning with pale gold.  September is here, and the Summer seems to be gone already.

It reminds me of that miserable old curmudgeon David Sylvian's elegiac short song:

The sound of laughter
The birds swoop down upon
The crosses of old grey churches
We say that we're in love
While secretly wishing for rain
Sipping coke and playing games
September's here again
September's here again

David Sylvian - September's here again

I'm away shortly in the Pyrenees and will probably backblip the cycling adventures, so there may be a short hiatus from me for a few days, we shall have to see.  I'm very much looking forward to the trip despite that fact that the weather is far from promising at the moment, so the cycling may well be soggier than one would wish :-/

Many thanks to 60plus who has kindly agreed to host Tiny Tuesday for September.
