Kimmeridge Bay Day

One of the reasons we came on holiday was for a bit of a rest from the rat-race, to do little and have a gentle mooch around. Today was one of those days.

Late up compared to normal. A couple of miles stroll with the dog before breakfast and then we all went out to Kimmeridge Bay. A nice walk around part of the bay and up to Clavell Tower. By the time we got down to was time for lunch - the first place was a bistro type place in Kimmeridge itself.

There is building work going on just over the road where they are constructing a new fossil museum (if that isn't a contradiction in terms - i.e. new fossils....). Thankfully, the guy in the caterpillar digger decided to have his lunch just as ours arrived and quiet descended.

All the fresh air was beginning to have an effect so a little nap was called for followed by a further couple of miles walk down to Winspit quarry and back. Apparently, it was on the news recently that a lunchtime nap is good for the blood pressure - Is this news?

Only 6 miles walked today, but, a good chance of it was uphill. Time for a beer :-)

A few more images from today here!
