A Happy Ending

When I looked out, this little beauty was sitting on the step. She did not fly away when I opened the door so I picked her up. She is a female chaffinch. I guess she had flown into the window.
I was glad that she managed to perch on my finger as you can see.
( it's not easy taking a photo when you have a bird on your finger!)
I phoned Keith from New Arc and he suggested I put her in a box and keep her in a warm, dark, quiet place for an hour to see if she recovered. I did just that and when I took her outside, she flew away.
Thanks Keith for your advice.
The title of this song  seems just right for her.
