Alone !

Autumn Spectacular I'm surprised ( & of course concerned ) , that the cygnet with an injured wing is along at the Swan resting spot. Never seen that before. Cygnet was busy cleaning up, so I hang over the wall to get these shots. Top right : injured wing. The feathers don't fold in. It's been like this for several weeks now.
I'm off on a great adventure today : to watch the huge flocks of wading birds that collect on The Wash. Tomorrow morning is especially auspicious : High spring tide, Moon at 7am. Only twice this year ( apparently ) it's happening in daylight. So huge flocks of them will be lifted off by the rapid incoming tide.
