G-AVRZ
Gulf Alpha Victor Romeo Zulu, a Piper Cherokee spotted at our airport. Nothing special about that. But this one takes me back to my youth in the 1960`s when all British aircraft registrations started with G-A, we would be plane spotters with our VHF radios and civil aircraft markings book, collecting aircraft registrations. No mobile phones or computers in those days, if a jet went overhead you logged date, time and direction and if you were lucky some of the older spotters could tell you the registration about a month later (still dont know how they got the info) nowadays you can track them as they fly over. Still nice bit of nostalgia and an old aircraft
