Chinatown

OK, you got me. There isn't a Chinatown in Phoenix anymore. This is the Sun Mercantile Building, a warehouse built in 1929. It is the last remaining building from Phoenix's Chinatown, which lasted from 1890-1960.

Most of Chinatown was vacant and rotting after 1960, and some of it was cleared for what is now US Airways Arena (in the background). That's where the Phoenix Suns basketball team plays.
