My favourite beach!!! It holds many a happy memory

Didn't know what to blip tonight!! Shad is out playing and refusing to come home!! The fixture list for the 2012-2013 football season arrived by email this morning and the banter between myself and a Newcastle fan has begun!!!! My daughter had her photo taken yesterday with an Olympic torch, I know she'd kill me if I posted that!!!

This photo hangs on my stairs, it is a picture of Marsden Rock, unfortunately no longer standing in this form!! My late husband was from Sunderland, and when we went up to visit family we always went to Marsden, among other places!! We would walk down the staircase from the car park to the beach, we would wander on the beach looking for shells and other items and then go into The Grotto for a pint of Samson!! Then we would return to the car park via the lift!!
