Coming .... and Going
Today was North and East Yorkshire's Olympic Flame Relay Day.
The flame arrived at Scarborough by coach from Pickering and eight torchbearers relayed it from the North Bay, along the seafront, and up Ramshill Road to the South Cliff.
Scarborough's last torchbearer proceeded slowly and carefully along Filey Road watched and cheered by an appreciative all-age crowd, with light touch security from the Metropolitan Police team, before returning the flame to the lantern in which it was to travel in a coach to Filey.
