Nick Ellis

3rd day of LIMF and another belter.  I spent the day between the Band Stand and the Academy stage shooting some of the lesser known, but no less good, Liverpool acts.  Nick Ellis on the Band Stand was another new one on me, but he really gave it everything and his bluesy, Nashville kind of set was a high.  There were others, too and it was a cool, more chilled way to round off the weekend.  This year's LIMF has been a triumph from where I've been standing and that includes the fact I missed Basement Jaxx on Saturday and the Bunnymen tonight - no worries - I've  loved it and I've seen plenty new, really good, bands.  That seems to me to be as it should be.  Once again, good call, Liverpool.
