Loss

My kids lost their dad last night.

I'm sad. Not for me - we've been divorced for a long time - but for three children, aged 16, 15, and 14 who have lost their father. I'm sad for 2 girls who will never have their father walk them down the aisle, never see their children, and never be there when they need him. I'm sad for my son who won't be able to buy his dad a pint, or beat him at darts and pool, and to ask his advice about women. No matter how hard I try, I will just never be able to do these things for them like a father can.
