Touring Olso
Too many blips to consider today during our exploration of Oslo - all I can say is what a fascinating city - perfect for me - a great mix of the modern and the old, with more of a focus on the modern which I really enjoyed. Highlights included:
1. The Astrup Fearnley modern art museum designed by Renzo Piano who has also designed the modern art foundation building in Basel - the blip is of the Jeff Koons Michael Jackson and Bubbles sculpture which caused a bit of a stir at the time
2. The Nobel Peace Centre this year celebrating the work of Malaia and Kalish
3. The Vigeland Sculpture park filled with amazing sculptures by the artist Vigeland. His work brought to mind the film Promotheus and then reading further we found out he had been criticised at the time for being expressions of Nazi tendencies - which given the perfect form of the bodies you can understand why - see the extra blip
Only downside is the price luckily not feeling like eating much helped especially when two cheese sandwiches and two drinks from Upper Crust cost £16!
