a new first
...back to Godlingston Heath today, chasing Downy Emerald dragonflies. Alas, no luck. I did, however, manage to identify and record all three UK species of sundew Drosera as well as the sterile hybrid between anglica and rotundifolia but, as I have blipped sundew recently, I was hoping for something a little bit different. I was feeling doubtful, as we headed back to the car, until I spotted this gorgeous Sand Lizard Lacerta agilis basking on a stone. I have spent years looking for sand lizards in the UK but and today was my lucky day...
