Dad's birthday

It's my Dad's 82nd birthday today.  I have Facetimed with him and he seems really pleased with the birthday presents I delivered a couple of weeks ago. ( He was wearing the shirt which is always a good sign).  Less pleased that it is raining there and dry/sunny here.

A friend of his who is a similar age drove over to see him and they were going to be having lunch together.  She is amazing.  She broke her hip a few months ago but seems to have recovered really well and was rather annoyed that it had been a blip in an otherwise fully and busy life.  I hope I am like that when I am her age.  

Dad seems to be getting the hang of the iPad which is good and he had facetimed with my brother in New Zealand too.
