Feeding Time

This little bird spent quite a while feeding upon insects, while he clung to this wall.  Normally when I think of insect problems in the garden, I think of insecticide, however, having watched this little fellow for a while, I wondered if this was perhaps the wrong approach.  I do not normally think of birds as insect removers, but as a pretty subject to look at, so we feed them.  Having watched this little Blue Tit at work, I wonder whether we feed them too much with seeds and kill off too much of their natural insect food stock.
