My Voyage
It was while sitting in the bath-tub,
That I with soap began to scrub.
Imagining...and to my glee,
I started drifting out to sea.
With frightening speed I kept afloat,
And in the angle of my boat.
I saw the spurting of a whale,
And then the flip-flop of a tail.
I dangled on the rising foam,
So far removed what once was home.
Right then and there...I tried to park,
Upon the blue fin of a shark.
With my directions at a loss,
Up flew a bird...the Albatross.
It darted off toward the shore,
And I saw the lights of Singapore.
So much of learning did I gain,
When with a gurgle from the drain.
Up came a loud and startling BLUB,
My voyage ended in the tub.
