Guess the year

Playing a game with my friend from primary school. This old book caught our attention and the game was to guess the publication date based on the style of the cover. We both have a bit of an interest in antiques and bric a brac. He guessed 1932. I guessed 1933. We write our guesses down so as not to influence each other's predictions.

The publication date? 1931. I've still not got over losing!
