Skittles

Skittles has been very under the weather last week and had a trip to the dreaded vet on Thursday. She hates going and despite not being well had to be caught and held down by the vet wearing thick gauntlets in order to give her a couple of jabs. She had stopped eating and was drinking a lot of water. I suspected kidney failure as she is 15+ years old. Without examining her properly or taking blood samples the vet couldn't diagnose so I brought her home to see if there was any change after the injections. Initially she seemed worse and I resigned myself to losing her. However today she has been eating well and drinking less so I'm holding out tentative hope that she may have a little longer to be a much loved member of the family.
