A Sunday day out

Had a great day at the dancing last night getting home at 1.30 a.m. - even managed to squeeze in a Strip the Willow Square.  Went for a walk today along the Deerness coastline and had a picnic at Dingieshowe.  We even lashed out on a Sunday paper at the airport on the way home.

Tonight we are dining out at the Hamnavoe in Stromness, with friends from Orphir, Aberdeen and Elgin.  We sent an advanced party (our tasters) to the Hamnavoe a couple of weeks ago; in fact it was the cultural attaché to Edinburgh.  The good reports mean we have had clearance to reserve a table.

In case anyone has an hour to spare there is a great exhibition of Morris Rendall’s bird photography at Newark Beach. (Not reviewed in the Sunday Times).
