'Long Shadows'

Happy 180th birthday Melbourne.

MsMun feeling a bit better today and even came out of the house for an hour or so this afternoon.

The Wattle festival was on today in Hurstbridge, Dylan and I popped down for a look this morning. I think he was moree interested in seeing how many steps he could add to his fit bit tally today, which he totalled over 21000 steps. Not a bas effort and covered around 13km for the day.

Dylan had a play date at his mate Aaron's house this afternoon and Bella and I stopped on the way over to pick him up as the sun was low in the sky this evening. This is on the back road only about 5 minutes from home.

Was hoping for a great night steam train shot, but Bella and I waited for half an hour at the bottom of our street for the train which was supposed to be leaving Hurstbridge Station at 7:30pm tonight. By 8pm, no sign so we came back home.

On a sad note, our famous Melbourne horse trainer Bart Cummings died early this morning. R.I.P. Bart. The Melbourne Cup won't be the same without him.
