The Big Storm

Two people dead, thousands without power -- us included.

Made a special blip trip this morning just before the wind really picked up. Had an exciting trip home! Branches flying through the air, traffic lights not working, power line down across the road -- we had to drive on the shoulder to pass under it.

Repair crews are overwhelmed -- no estimate for when service will be restored. Not all bad -- dinner by candlelight. Thank goodness we have a gas stove, and fireplace -- but it's not cold enough to need the latter.
