Huge Abandoned Lot

It's uncanny.  I took this blip from nearly the same viewpoint as this one from nearly three years ago, when the Honda dealership that stood here had already been abandoned for  several years. The building was torn down two years ago, and there is no sign of any new construction. We're on King Street, less than a mile north of the very center of Northampton's downtown.  Despite this grim scene the town seems mostly  to be muddling through, but I suspect we need a very solid recovery before this lot will be redeveloped. 

The large empty area beyond is sometimes used by the fire department for testing drivers and equipment, as you see here.
