Blackberry hedgerow

August is virtually at end and it already feels autumnal. But we've had a good family day together. The Guernsey museum service has put on a Fête de Dolmen this bank holiday weekend. Over 3 days, there are guided tours of local dolmens. Today we visited Le Déhus which is a five minute walk away. It is an ancient burial mound. Artefacts have been discovered there from more than 5000 years ago! These blackberries are further signs of autumn.
