Feet up
Summertime, and the living is truly easy when Mr B is home.
After a very late night last night (a long rabbit-inspired discussion on pets and stuff was preceded by a lot more watching of Orphan Black than was wise and so bedtime started with the number 2) a fairly leisurely start to the day. TallGirl was woken with the delightful line "do you want to come and bury the bunny or shall I do it?". Then off to get the essentials from the market (plus some pies, I'm presuming you will agree that cheese, bread, wine, a leg of lamb and veg are essential?)
Lunch, charades (earlier this week we fell somehow into supermarket-charades of the things the kids had to go and find for the trolley - I think the summer holidays have been too long - so today we bi-lingually charaded the list of stuff the kids need for school) some sitting outside, a lot of nonsense chat about China, interest rates and inflation, and then in to pack the kids' stuff for school to the tune of "Mr B plays Carole King". Very satisfactory.
Now, Mr B is getting busy with duck and chips, there is Bake Off to watch on the telly and an unwise number of movies. And, despite some jobs, today has been a lot about this view of my toes.
