Rainforest Butterfly
I was planning a visit to a local National Trust property today, but to be honest I didn't have a great night last night again. It was cloudy this morning, so I decided to pop up to the local Living Rainforest at Hermitage in the hope of getting an interesting shot :)
I couldn't quite believe that I was the first visitor there at almost 11am and it was lovely and quiet, no screaming kids etc :)
I had hoped I might see the sloth but I didn't see her at all, she was tucked away as she's very shy, but there were many other interesting flora and fauna to see :)
There were plenty of chrysallises but no butterflies out flying until almost the end when I spotted another on a leaf, so this is behind glass and I'm pleased its come out so well (I have no idea what this one is called though) :)
Some more images of butterfly chrysallises and other creatures (marmoset etc) in Flickr :)
More details on The Living Rainforest at Hampstead Norreys here :)
I'm feeling rather tired now so planning a fairly 'plain' afternoon of reading and resting possibly doing some shredding and filing (I'm not organised, can't you tell) :)
In other news my lovely Dad has just sent me an email to tell me he wants to buy me a new computer/laptop (which I badly need, but can't afford yet) :) Love him to bits! He really does spoil me, Best Dad in the World!
Happy Saturday folks :)
