Hiding ladybird

I took a few minutes to look around in my increasingly autumnal garden and found this little ladybird, hiding away in the Rosemary.

It may be the same little one who vanished in minutes on the arrival of the yellow 22 spot rival (who I unjustly accused of being non native and an invader).

Where are they all this year ?  In the past, my garden has been full of them.  And I certainly cannot be accused of overmanicuring the beds !
