Yesterday Was A Scary Day
This is the view I had at the hospital while I waited for Chris to come out of surgery, he was having an aortic catheterisation. Yesterday we got up, he went off to the kitchen to feed Abbey, I heard a huge crash and then what sounded like very loud snoring. I ran to the kitchen to find him flat on his back, (luckily he fell between the cabinets), he then stopped breathing, I called 911 and told her that he wasn't breathing and she told me to start doing chest compressions. I got up to 46 before he started breathing again. The fire department turned up in less than 5 minutes and took him off to hospital. He's since had an MRI and they've told us his heart is great, no issues with his brain but no idea why it happened. He's now home and scheduled for more tests next week to try and figure it out. In the meantime he can't drive for 6 months so my new second job is chauffeur. I also ordered HomeSafe which is a GPS tracking medical alert system so that if it does happen again someone will know where to find him.
