Autumn has arrived.

The days are drawing in, it is now dark soon after 8 pm and the dew was very heavy on the lawn this morning. The apple trees are really groaning under the weight they carry, in some cases branches give up and collapse under what they have produced. Here the apples are very colourful, many fall off and are feasted upon by four-legged creatures during the night! I collect apples from all over the garden and cook them altogether, sweet and cookers, all wonderful flavours, to be used through the coming year. Thank goodness for a freezer
