Even though we are working to improve riverine and habitat conditions with our projects its important to realize that these efforts can also have adverse impacts if not properly implemented. Luckily there are things that can be done to minimize impacts. This is a good example of a silt boom curtain that prevents turbid water from entering the channel. For extra credit, how do you think the turbid water got into the isolated area?
