Naked Lady

Or: Amaryllis Belladonna.
A very rare sight here in the meadow of our little subdivision. Never seen it before. Normally people buy these bulbs for their gardens, this one is a volunteer who liked the very long dry spell.
This plant pushes up green leaves in spring, they die off in summer and then in late summer comes up a lonely long stem, about 40 cm high and has these beautiful flowers on top. One more in the extras.
Right in time for Flower Friday :-)

Thank you for all the kind comments and sprinklers for the little beetle. I liked it as it was like a Lady Bug, but a little longer and green with black dots....
