Kea 2

This is my second attempt at this - lost the whole entry the first time so I refuse to write much this time.

I went up to Farmergirl's after work in the hope of seeing keas.  There were none at her place but I found quite a gathering of them across the road.  I took lots of photos but it is frustrating that they arrive as the light is going so it's not easy capturing movement with my long lens (f6.3).

As with last night's tui, the this bird isn't quite in focus.  I was  photographing the chap behind his wing (who is perfectly in focus!) when this guy photobombed.  It's definitely not my best photo of the day BUT it shows the glorious underwing colour.
