Late lilies

At last! On our return home I could see from the gate that my long awaited new Tree Lilies had finally gathered their strength and opened!
The scent wafts right through the garden, and they are quite stately.
I am hoping that with enough nursing they will appear next summer twice as big!
Looking back at last year I can see that they are a whole month late in opening, I put this down to the really cold nights we have suffered throughout July and August.
I shall enjoy them every day now until they drop!
