The long short route

As we knew today was going to be very very hot we were up and out early, telling Fu it was 8 am when really it was 7.30 helped! We cycled north to Horni Plana the next big village. Once there we had more delicious cake and coffee recommended by fellow tandemists. We had 2 options here. We could catch the ferry to the other side and cycle back to Frymburk, or do an extension and go right to the top of Lake and round to the otherside a further 14 or so miles. Of course the latter is what we did. It was a beautiful ride and we yoyo'd with the Dutch tandems- they can be seen in the far distance. Fu is solo cyclist in the foreground

We stopped at the ferry where there was a cafe and had deep fried cheese and chips! Then on to Frymburk. We thought we had made the 3 o'clock ferry but had to give way to an ambulance. Home to a cool swim in the lake.
