Twitching

Good nights sleep last night, woke up refreshed. Did some washing, walked to the newsagents for a newspaper. Had the quote from boiler man, being done in a week or so.

After lunch we went out for a couple of hours to Pennington Flash for some exercise and photography interlude :-). It was really busy and as hub was going to get a ticket for parking, someone called out his name, turned out to be a couple of friends that we dont see very often...last time we saw them was at middle son's wedding! They were visiting the flash with his parents.

We had a fairly long walk around the flash, no sign of the kingfishers...everything is so lush, unless you know the river is there, you wouldn't even see it at the moment!

Spent half an hour in one of the hides and managed to grab this shot of what I think is a very young Willow Tit......but I could be wrong...or to be honest, the two older twitchers in the hide with me, could be wrong ;-)

I definitely need more practise photographing birds, they are so quick! I got a couple of shots of a lovely nuthatch, but they weren't clear enough :-(

We popped round to wish Emily a happy birthday on our way home, they were mid pass the parcel, lots of squealing and shrieking! We didn't stay too, long, left them to it!

Had a quick light tea, downloaded my shots, deleted most of them, definitely out of practice..........but did quite like this little one.

Off quizzing tonight, Thursday again!
