Lichen

Great day for a sad reason. A photography friend had word her mother had passed  away in the UK. Packed a picnic picked up Rainie on the way through and off to Waimate. We picked up our friend and her son and headed out to Kelceys Bush. It was just delightful sitting in the sun enjoying our lunch while birds sang all around. Very restful and enjoyable as we took a slow ramble around the bush tracks.
I feel guilty about the first image a piece of lichen Rainie was taking home to blip at a later date. She sat it on a tree whilst taking something else and I snapped it. The extra is the top of a wattle tree against the sky. I have deleted 75% of the rest already.
A relaxing and  enjoyable day and nice to keep our friend company while she grieves her mothers passing
