A long wait

Sun came out mid morning so after cleaning - ugh, and shopping -ugh ugh, went for a walk through Moyn's Park.
At first we thought this tree was dead, a nude horse chestnut devoid of all leaves, but as we got closer we could see the dormant sticky buds waiting for spring 2009.
Something to look forward to.
The beech, birch and oaks were magnificent with their colours in the late afternoon sun although a lot of the leaves are falling now.
We got home and it started to rain 15 minutes later - result!
