Fledglings

There was such a noise at the garden centre today!  No, not the chatter in the café, the chatter up in the roof of the sheltered area outside. The communication amongst a family of swallows, the fabulous sound hirundines make, keeping in vocal contact as the young leave the nest for the first time and explode into the air! Swooping and swirling, then returning to the nest area to rest.

A lot of chatter in the evening too. I went to a launch event for Cumbria C-Art Open Studios. I got a chance to introduce myself to other members who will be taking part next month.
