'Back to Salisbury'

Woke up to another morning of torrential rain! We decided to drive to Salisbury...found a lovely country road route...but the flooding was awful....we surfed most of the way. We parked on the outskirts and caught the 'Park and Ride' bus into Salisbury. .

Paddled to a coffee shop for our morning coffee. We then visited the Cathedral. The last time was 2nd June 2014 ..my blip for that day! Lunch in the refectory restaurant...and then a really enjoyable afternoon. The sun came out....and a beautiful blue sky.......changed the light completely in the Cathedral..the sun was.shining through the stain glass windows.

We then visited Mompesson House..National Trust..which is actually in Cathedral Close. There is a small exhibition on at the moment..the film 'Sense and Sensibility' was filmed here..starring Emma Thompson and Kate Winslett. Some nice gowns etc on show. I will possibly cheat and show some photos at the weekend..if I struggle for a Blip.
