Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER CYCLE TRACK

This time on Nation Route 7 from Sunderland to Inverness, which runs a hop, skip and jump from our doorstep. Good to be out following a night and morning of torrential rain, during which we were involved in domestic stuff.  We finished the walk with lunch in our local cafe where I was greeted in song.  Carol, the cafe owner, is a fellow choir member. I spent the afternoon clearing a patch of waste ground belonging to my neighbour.  After years of promising she would get round to doing something with it, she has offered it to me on a season by season basis. Truly, it was as a haunt of jackals and yet it shall not be desolate for ever.
