Travelling Circus

The travelling circus in my youth was exciting and thrilling. It would arrive with caravans and colour, animals, clowns and acrobats. There were many of these circuses-large and small. Now the traditional travelling circus is a rather sad institution kept alive by only a few famous names .
This is a shot of Bobby Roberts Super Circus, set up for a week in a field between Stirling and Alloa and looking rather forlorn on a wet Sunday morning in June.
