Mantis

Fotoboy spotted it in the long grass where it tried to climb up.
This is the third subspecies I saw since we live here. One was light green and as big as this one (10cm/4inches), and one was small, had a rounder body and was black.
They move their head curiously when one comes closer without moving the body at all. It looks weird on an insect. Almost spooky;)
